From Madison Athletics: “The Volleyball team beat Page County tonight 3-0 in the Region 2B 1/4 finals. The Mountaineers dominated the match from start to finish. Madison will host Luray on Tuesday night at 7:00pm in the Semi-Finals. Luray beat Staunton 3-0 in their 1/4 final match. The Varsity Volleyball won the Bull Run District Tournament title tonight with a thrilling 3-2 win over East Rockingham. This was definitely the match of the year in the Bull Run. Madison and East Rockingham had split their regular season match-ups and both finished as co-champions with a 13-1 regular season district record.
East Rock jumped out and won game 25-20 but the Mountaineers came back and dominated games 2 and 3 winning 25-14 and 25-9, The Eagles then won game 4 over Madison 25-23 before the deciding game 5 which saw 6 different ties and 3 lead changes before Madison won 15-12 to take the Tournament Championship.
Madison will be the #1 seed in the Region 2B Tournament and will host Page County on Thursday at 7:00pm. Admission is $7 and only VHSL passes will be accepted.

The Girls Varsity Volleyball team beat Rappahannock tonight 3-1 in the Bull Run District semi-finals to advance to the Championship. Madison got off to a slow start losing game 1 after having a big lead 26-24. The Mountaineers righted the ship and took the next 3 games to win the match 3-1. Ava Jenkins made her return tonight from a broken finger and gave Madison a spark in game 3. Madison will host East Rockingham tomorrow night at 7:00 in the Bull Run Championship game.
The JV Volleyball team will host Rappahannock tomorrow night at 6:00 in the JV Championship game.”

From MCHS Athletics: “The Varsity Football team beat Rappahannock tonight 42-0. Wade Fox threw for 4 touchdowns on the night. Khalid West had 2 TD receptions, Hugh Wingate had 1 and Jack Bourdon had 1. Bourdon also ran a punt back 63 yards for a score and had an interception. Samuel Estes had the lone rushing TD scoring from 16 yards out. Madison will end their season next Friday at East Rockingham.” Click the photo below to see the gallery from the game.
