From Madison Athletics: “The Volleyball team beat King William tonight 3-0 in the VHSL Class 2 State 1/4 Finals. Madison will travel to Poquoson to face the Region A Champions on Tuesday for a 6:00 State Semi-Final match.”
And from the world of deja vu, East Rockingham had a 2-0 lead over Poquoson, but Poquoson came back to win the match 3-2. Sound familiar.
Still some work to be done. Click the photo below to see a few photos from tonight’s match.
In a ceremony at MCHS yesterday afternoon, Katelyn Chung, surrounded by her parents and coaches, signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Upper Iowa University.
Tough to pick a favorite photo from tonight, so I’ll share a few. Madison won the Region 2B title with a dominating (after the first set) 3-0 win over East Rockingham in their fourth meeting of the season (and if both teams win on Saturday night, meeting #5 will happen in the State semi’s). Madison will host King William in the STATE QUARTERFINALS on Saturday night at 6:00pm. Click any of the photos below to see the gallery from the match.
Madison volleyball defeated Luray tonight 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-18) in the Region 2B semi final. Madison advances to the Regional final and will host East Rockingham tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 7:00pm, and almost more importantly, with the win, advances to the state tournament. If Madison wins tomorrow night, they will host in the state 1/4 final on Saturday night, if they lose tomorrow night, they’ll travel to the Region 2A winner. Regional and State brackets are here if you’re curious.
