From Madison Athletics: The Varsity Boys Basketball team lost to Orange tonight 77-64. Elijah Lewis led the Mountaineers with 30 points and Kobi Alexander added 12 including an impressive dunk in the 3rd quarter. Madison drops to 1-7 on the year. Madison will be off for the holidays and will play at East Rockingham next Wednesday at 6:00pm. Click the photo below to see the gallery from the game.

From Madison Athletics:
The Swim Team competed against Clarke County and Strasburg on Saturday at the Manassas Park Rec Center. The Boys Team went 1-1 and the Girls were 0-2. The following swimmers won their events:
Claudia Gohn – 1st in 200 Free in a state qualifying time of 2:10.04 and 1st in 100 Fly in a state qualifying time of 1:03.7
Emily Gohn – 1st in 500 Free in a state qualifying time of 5:58.91.
Ben Dillon – 1st in 100 Fly (1:02.94) and 1st in 100 Backstroke (1:09.28)
Luke Wintersgill – 1st in 200 IM (2:35.47) and 1st in 100 Breaststroke (1:14.50)
Boys 200 Medley Relay of Grayson Wood, Ben Dillon, Luke Wintersgill and Dalton Dodson finished 1st in a time of 1:56.8.

From Madison Athletics:
The Boys Varsity Basketball team lost to Culpeper tonight 70-61. The Mountaineers fell behind early and trailed by as many as 21 late in the 3rd quarter but Madison made a furious comeback in the 4th quarter, cutting Culpeper’s lead to 3 with 2:20 left in the game. Culpeper would knock down a couple shots and made their free throws down the stretch to push the lead back up. Madison was led by Kobi Alexander with 24 points. Gaines Swink had 20 and Elijah Lewis added 13. Madison will travel to William Monroe on Wednesday night for a 7:30 game. Click the photo below to see the varsity gallery.

The Boys JV Basketball team dominated Culpeper from start to finish and won 56-33. Madison is now 3-3 on the year and will travel to William Monroe for a 6:00pm game next Wednesday. Click the photo below for the JV gallery.
