Congratulations to our Girls Swim team for finishing 3rd in yesterdays VHSL 2A State Meet.

Kara Morgan McHaney – State Champion in the 100 Fly setting a new state record

Kara Morgan McHaney – State Champion in the 200 IM setting a new state record

Claudia Gohn – 2nd in the 100 Backstroke and 3rd in the 100 Fly

Dale McNamara – 7th in the 200 IM

200 Medley Relay (Christine Mullen, Kara Morgan McHaney, Claudia Gohn, Rosemarie Mullen) finished in 3rd place

200 Free Relay (Kimmie Dillon, Jeana Grace Kelliher, Christine Mullen, Rosemarie Mullen) finished in 5th place

400 Free Relay (Claudia Gohn, Jeana Grace Kelliher, Rosemarie Mullen, Kara Morgan McHaney) finished in 3rd place.

Rosemarie Mullen and Ben Dillon competed in the Region 4A North Dive Competition tonight in Charlottesville.

Rosemarie finished in 2nd place overall and 2nd among 2A divers and Ben finished in 5th place overall and 1st among 2A divers.

Both divers will compete in the VHSL 2A State Dive Championship next Friday in Christiansburg.

Madison held on to defeat Clarke tonight 63-59 in the Bull Run District Quarter Finals.  James Graves led Madison with 23 points and Dylan Breeden had 14.  Madison will play #1 seed George Mason, at George Mason, on Wednesday in the District Semi Finals.  lick the photo below to see the Madison vs Clarke photos.
