Prior to tonight’s game, Matt Temple received the game ball from the Clarke game last week, the game in which he achieved 1000 career points, from Logan Terrell.  Logan was the last boy’s basketball Mountaineer to score 1000 career points for Madison.

Madison defeated East Rockingham 63-62 tonight.  With Madison trailing 62-58, James Graves (15 points) hit his fifth three of the game with just over 35 seconds on the clock.  Matt Temple (20 points) put in 2 with just over 4 seconds left on the clock to give Madison a 63-62 lead.  East Rock’s shot at the buzzer fell short giving Madison the win.  (click any of the photos below to see the gallery)  Click for Star Exponent article on the game.

Madison’s varsity boys lost a close one tonight 42-40 at Orange.  With the game tied at 40, Orange called a timeout with .6 seconds on the clock.  Orange inbounded to Freshman Kameron Hill who hit a shot at the buzzer to give Orange the win.  Click any of the photos below to see the gallery.
