Madison baseball led the entire game, and hung on (bases loaded with two out in the top of the seventh) for a 11-9 win over George Mason.  ScrimmagePlay article on the game.

I left after five and a half innings, and Madison had a 2-0 lead over Clarke.

Madison varsity boy’s soccer lost to Clarke today 6-0.  I left with a little over 20 minutes to play, with the score 5-0, to shoot a little of the JV Softball game.  (click any image to see the gallery)

Finally made it to a varsity softball game.  Not quite enough hitting for Madison tonight….or…the hits weren’t at the right time.  Karri Carpenter was 2 for 3 with two doubles….but no one on base when she hit them.  Madison’s only run came when Lauren Seale doubled, and scored on an Anna Kelliher hit (Abby Erb actually did the scoring, she was pinch running for Lauren.  (click any photo to see the gallery)

Well….it’s tough when you have to play a team that has won four consecutive State Championships this early in the season.  Final score, George Mason 6, Madison 1.  Madison’s only goal was scored by Lindsay Wheeler.
