Madison travelled to Luray this afternoon for a VERY windy cross country meet. Wilson Memorial and Stuarts Draft were also there. Don’t have any results at the moment…. But, Luray’s course is a really nice place to shoot. Surrounded by mountains, lots of nice backgrounds. (boys and girls in the same gallery, click a photo below to see them all)

Well, that one wasn’t much fun….at least for Madison fans. William Monroe won 67-21. Madison’s scores coming on two Travis Warren receptions for touchdowns (apparently, having a broken hand doesn’t affect him too much), and one TD run by Maurice Gentry.

Got a call back in August from ScrimmagePlay to do a volleyball shoot for them. It ended up being scheduled for the Saturday that Irene came through here, fortunately, we mostly just got rain from Irene, so it wasn’t too big a deal. The shoot featured three athletes, Madison’s own Chandler Gentry, Monticello’s Charlotte Divine, and Albemarle’s Jessica Block (below, left to right). All three very consistent servers, with somewhat different serving styles.
I tried to light them not only to add some “drama” to the photos, but also to help hide the fact that it was shot in Wetsel gym, since two of the girls weren’t from Madison. Here are a few of my favorites, pick up a copy of the magazine to see more and read the article. They do a really great job of covering sports in our area.
Didn’t know at the time that they would pick one of the photos for this month’s cover….and the added bonus was that Chandler made the cover. Pretty cool…

Madison won another one in straight sets tonight over Clarke, 31-29, 25-17, 25-22. After that first one I was a little worried we’d be there all night…although it was a nice comeback for Madison. Clarke led the first set until the score was in the 20’s, and actually had the set won, but miss-played a ball that was clearly out of bounds. A few points later, Madison took the win….and never really looked back the rest of the night.
Family portrait 🙂
Yep, Cameron still slammin'....but liked the symmetry of this one...
MC JV also won tonight, 2-0, over Clarke, 25-18 and 25-21.
