MCHS Fall Sports Teams
I spent most of Friday shooting all of Madison’s Fall Sports Teams for the Fall Sports Program as well as the new MCHSAthletics.org website. Since the school photographers weren’t coming until later in the month (too late for the Program), I had the teams all to myself. So, I tried something a little different this year with all the teams except football, there are just too many of them. I’ll also be doing something different with the posters that go in Wetsel. I hope to get those done in the next week or so. Feel free to leave a comment below and let me know what you think.
And my favorite from the day…I was just finalizing adjustments to my lights for the last picture of the day, the JV Cheerleaders….when the sprinklers on the football field went off. I managed to take one photo before those girls were gone! They move FAST! 🙂
LOVE the first volleyball pic… where a few of the girls have black shirts on. INTENSE! Poster worthy!!!
John, I love all the poses and how you set them up. I’m wondering why no one is smiling. They look so intense! I’m just one of those people who likes to see happy faces.

Thanks Jennifer! The volleyball girls have it down now. I’ve been doing posters for them for several years now. I always do both smiling and non smiling. This year they want to use the smiling one in their poster, which should make Pat happy 🙂
I’ve been wanting to do these for several years now, and this year hS been my first opportunity. Personally, I prefer non-smiling for portraits, just seems to give more mystery/depth, but I usually do both to try to make everyone happy.
Love the JV Cheerleading picture!! Tough but girly! 🙂 Especially loved the sprinklers coming on….couldn’t have planned that any better!!
