….especially when you’re down two sets to none, it’s Senior Night, both teams have 6-3 District records, and both teams want that second seed spot in the District Tournament next week. There was a momentum shift there between that second and third set, and I can’t believe it didn’t have something to do with the students turning up their volume….. Madison pulled out a 3-2 win (13-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 15-13) over Rappahannock tonight to secure the #2 seed in next week’s Bull Run District Tournament. (The Senior video is below the pictures, it was a little hard to see in the gym with the lights on, click the full screen button in the lower right of the player, turn up the volume, and click “play” 🙂
Madison’s JV volleyball team lost to Rappahannock 3-2.
Madison defeated George Mason tonight 20-7 to up their record to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the Bull Run District. First half scores by Rashad Bolden and Travis Warren, both off passes from QB Dustin Farmer. Second half score on a QB keeper by Farmer.
Well, the outcome wasn’t quite what we hoped for….but it sure was nice to hear it that LOUD in the gym tonight!! Madison lost the first set 15-25, then came back to win the next two 25-21 and 25-22. The fourth set was back and forth with Strasburg finally pulling it out 25-22…..and eventually took the fifth and final set 15-7.
Just one of Chapat's MANY blocks tonight!!
Madison’s JV volleyball defeated Strasburg tonight 2-0 (25-22 and 25-8)
Madison picked up another District win tonight defeating George Mason 3-0. Madison is now 6-2 in Bull Run District play (12-4 overall) and will play a BIG match on Thursday night against undefeated (8-0 in the District) Strasburg. Madison lost to Strasburg in 5 sets at their last meeting in Strasburg…so, I’ll expect to see everyone there on Thursday night!! 🙂
These are photos from warmups…but sometimes I like them better than the game photos….so, that’s what you’re getting tonight….
Madison’s JV volleyball team picked up an exciting win tonight in three sets. With the match tied at one, Madison was up 14-13 in the third and final set, but couldn’t get that last point for the win.
