IMAGES FROM HAITI TODAY – Images by Images Without Borders

More, from their Facebook page:

This project emerged because of the crisis in Haiti, but has taken on a larger life. Because of our affiliation with Doctors without Borders, we plan to continue our support as future crises emerge and daily work continues for those who suffer around the world. Buyers receive a stunning art print from a premier world photographer and their contribution goes directly to the places that need it most. Each print is offered from Images without Borders at a limit of ten before being pulled from the collection and returned to the artist. This long-term project aids Doctors without Borders in their efforts on the ground in Haiti and the world.

Western Albemarle Warriors vs New Kent Trojans-AA State Quarterfinals

Published by under basketball,State Championships

This was probably the best game I saw yesterday…well, maybe the closest game.  Western Albemarle came out hot and took the lead, then New Kent grabbed the lead back and held it for the rest of the game.  Western threatened a few times, but three technicals and one flagrant foul on Western finally put the game away as the Trojans sank all eight free throws for the fouls.  The final score was 71-55 in favor of New Kent.  Daily Progress article on the game. Click on the Trojan cheerleaders to see photos from the game.
