Madison’s JV and Varsity Girl’s soccer teams both came away with wins over Orange today. The JV Girls started it off with a 2-1 win in their match, and varsity followed with a 4-0 win. (click an image below to go to the gallery)

Madison’s varsity won their game rather easily after a big 4th inning. The score after 4 was 9-2, and Madison would eventually win with a final score of 15-2.
Madison’s JV lost a close one to William Monroe 1-0. The game was scoreless through 6 innings, William Monroe then scored one run in the top of the seventh. Madison threatened with the tying run on base…but couldn’t get her in.
I’m a little slow getting these online…but here ya go..
Buckingham and James River played in the Group A, Division 2 State Championship game. James River played 5 players the entire game…no substitutions. Buckingham wasn’t much different, playing only seven players, with one of them getting less than a minute playing time. Good game, James River took the early lead, Buckingham came storming back after the half to take the lead, but couldn’t hang on, eventually losing 47-43. (click a photo below to go to the gallery)

Madison’s JV baseball team defeated William Monroe 5-4. Down 4-3 in the middle of the sixth, Dustin Farmer singled and was driven in by a Ryan Taylor triple who also scored on a throwing error.
