Madison’s varsity boy’s soccer team lost to Orange today 7-3. After being down 3-0, Madison came back and tied the game at 3 on a Matt Garr header. But Orange would follow later in the game with 4 goals to get the win. (click a picture to see all the photos from that game)
I just hate it when I'm standing in the wrong spot....
I was in the right spot for this one though... 🙂
Madison’s JV Boy’s Soccer team lost to Orange today 8-0.
I got to the softball game late, top of the sixth, so didn’t get much from that game. I was there primarily to cover it for the Orange Review, so what I did take was mostly Orange…

Softball double header today, JV then Varsity. Madison’s varsity picked up a 7-1 win over Fluvanna upping their season record to 4-2. Jordan Aylor got the win on the mound, going all seven innings. (click an image below to go to the gallery) ScrimmagePlay.com article on the game.
Safe....
The JV game was a bit more exciting than varsity, with Fluvanna taking a brief lead during the middle innings. Madison would come away with a 11-8 win with Lauren Seale getting the win in relief on the mound.
...ok...yeah...I spent too much time trying to get good reflections in Kaitlin's glasses.... 🙂

….good baseball game!! Even though the wind blew and it spit rain the whole time. Madison and Luray traded leads until Luray tied the game at 4 in the top of the fifth inning. The score stayed that way until there were two outs in the bottom of the sixth. Travis Warren on third, and Josh Lillard (running for pitcher Collin Tucker) on first. Will Taylor hit a two run triple to put Madison ahead 6-4. Dylan Shifflette sealed it with an RBI single driving in Will. Collin Tucker pitched five and a third innings picking up the win. Dustin Kirby pitched the top of the seventh to close out the game and get the save. (click any photo to see the gallery)
Nope...thankfully it didn't hit Dustin...but made for a good picture 🙂
That was a NICE play by Luray's second baseman...a diving stop, then threw out the batter at first.

Madison had a 4-0 lead over Orange when I left at the end of the fourth inning….
...liked the bent bat as Tres Winkler takes a cut...
Dustin Kirby had pitched 4 scoreless innings when I left.....
