Madison defeated Luray tonight 77-64, but the story of the night was Logan Terrell breaking James “Sleepy” Johnson’s career scoring record. Sleepy had held the record since 1975 with 1,379 points. Logan surpassed that in the first period tonight and finished the game with 1,392 points. (click the picture below to see all the images)

From the MCHS Athletics website: The Boys Varsity Basketball team beat Handley tonight 64-50. The Mountaineers fell behind 16-8 after the 1st quarter but outscored the Judges 16-9 in the 2nd to close to within one at the half. Madison dominated the 3rd outscoring the Judges 23-6 to blow the game open. Logan Terrell led the way with 24 points and 14 rebounds. David Falk had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Jerel Carter added 10 points.
Madison’s JV boys lost to Handley 58-45 with Patrick Roebuck leading the way with 12 and Josh Honaker providing 11 points.

Click the pictures to see more…I measured over 18″ a little after noon…and I think it’s snowed a good 6″ more since then…so that makes about 2 feet for us…..was getting ready to post this last night, then the power went out…
