When I left during the second half, Madison was up 4-0 over Strasburg. Tucker Ford and Adam Holbrook each scored a goal in the first half, and Shep Waldenberger had put in two early in the second half.

We’ve been to Mountain Lake several times over the years, the first time when my wife was in college at Va Tech, around 1980 or so. We’d heard that the lake level had fallen, and almost completely dried up at one point. So, we decided to pay a visit over spring break.

I left this one early too….it just gets too darkat these night games to take decent pictures. Madison had a 7-2 lead and went on to win their district opener 12-2 over Rapp. Brandon Rutherford had a complete game win allowing only two hits and striking out 8.

When I left, Madison was ahead 2-0 at the end of the third inning off a two run homer by Tiffany Geer. Madison went on to defeat Rapp 3-1 with Macy Dyer picking up the win.
Love the light on that field as the sun sets…probably not much fun to play in, but makes for some really nice pictures 🙂
