State Quarter Finals
Madison defeated Northampton tonight 66-57 to advance to the Division 2 State Semi-Final game in Richmond on Thursday. They’ll play Dan River at 7pm at the Siegel Center.
Logan Terrell led the Mountaineers in scoring with 19 points. Jerel Carter had 16, David Falk 11, and Sam Utz and Andre Parker each put in 7.
Just one big Mountaineer party!
I thought that side might stay empty...then, it also filled with Madison fans. 95% of the people in that gym had to be Mountaineers. AWESOME!

Madison defeated Dan River tonight 56-48 to go 27-0 on the season and take home the Region B Championship trophy in front of a HUGE contingent of Madison County fans. Casey Campbell starting off the scoring with a 3 pointer and Madison never trailed after that. David Falk led with 15 points, followed by Logan Terrell and Sam Utz with 12 each and Jerel Carter with 9. Even with four teams playing at Eastern Mennonite University, Madison easily occupied at least 2/3 of the seats making EMU feel almost like home! We all lost a little bit more of our hearing tonight…but that’s okay, it’ll just make us yell louder next time!
Altavista’s coach Mike Cartolaro coached for three years at Orange and coached Jerel’s dad while he was there.
