Whew! Lots of scoring in that game! Goals by Rachel Strahan (2), Samantha Cubbage, Ashley Sealander (2), Ellie Hill, Holly Grubb, and Kelly Riner gave the Lady Mountaineers a 8-1 win over the Lady Dragons.

A couple of eighth graders led the way for the JV Girl’s soccer team. Lindsay Wheeler scored the first goal for Madison followed by Leanna Coates who put the Mountaineers up 2-0. A few photos from the game are below, you can click here to see all the photos from the game.

Since MCHS sports were rained out on Thursday and Friday, I dug around a little bit and found a few old photos to post (I also want to try out a new photo gallery plugin for the site). These photos were taken WAAAY back in my college days, on slide film. These are digital scans of the slides.

Goals by Adam Holbrook and Shep Waldenberger put Madison up 2-1 over Wilson Memorial at half time when I left. It was getting too dark to shoot. (click on any of the pictures to see all the photos from the game)

Goals by Holly Grubb, Samantha Cubbage, and Kelly Riner, matched by three goals from Wilson, sent the girl’s varsity soccer match into double overtime. (you can click on either picture to see all the photos from the game)
Samantha Cubbage scored her second goal of the game with less than a minute to play in the second overtime period to give Madison 4-3 win over Wilson.
