Both of Madison’s volleyball teams picked up wins tonight. Madison’s varsity defeated Luray 3-1 (25-21, 17-25, 25-17, 25-15). (click any picture to go to the gallery for that match)

After coming from behind to win the first set 25-23, Madison dropped the next three sets to Fluvanna (23-25, 15-25, and 14-25), losing to the Flucos 3-1. (click on any photo to see the gallery)

Whew, that was a tough match to shoot! Probably had something to do with not shooting volleyball for 10 months, but it seemed both teams had a hard time finding a rhythm. It made it hard to predict where players would be. Anyway, it’ll get better as the season goes on…..hopefully….
Madison lost the opening set 15-25, but came back to win the next three sets 25-19, 25-18, and 25-11 to take the match 3-1.
Madison’s JV volleyball team won their season opener 2-0 over Orange (25-12 and 25-15).
