Madison varsity picked up another win tonight defeating Rappahannock 25-14, 25-19, and 25-17.

Madison JV defeated Rapp 25-6 and 25-12.

Madison over Stonewall Jackson last night 48-7 and Caitlyn Ford is our new Homecoming Queen.  From MCHS Athletics:

“The Varsity Football team continued their unbeaten streak with a 48-7 win over Stonewall Jackson. Madison scored on their first possession of the game which was followed by a scoring drive from Stonewall to tie the game at 7. Then it took Madison one play to cover the 78 yards as Dustin Kirby hit Antonio Childress for another score and the rout was on. Stonewall was held scoreless the remainder of the game and only managed another 48 yards of offense after their first possession. Madison rushed for 226 yards and Kirby threw for 173 yards and 3 touchdowns on the night. Dylan Shifflett, Logan Terrell and Childress all caught touchdown passes while Terrell and Ralph Yates added rushing touchdowns. Childress also intercepted 2 passes and returned one 80 yards for a score. A.J. Butler had 15 tackles to lead the defense. Madison is now 6-0…”

Madison came out hitting and won the first game 25-21…but then Strasburg’s hitters got warmed up…and Madison lost the next three games 25-8, 25-22, and 25-17. Madison is now 2-2 in Bull Run play.

Madison’s JV won both of their games over Strasburg…and made the second one exciting coming back after being down 23-20 and eventually winning the second game 26-24.  They are now 4-0 in Bull Run District play.

Madison varsity defeated George Mason 3-0 and are now 2-1 in District play.

JV won their match with George Mason 2-0 giving them a 3-0 record in District play.
